The Process

How We Build

Every Tarang board is the result of obsessive attention to detail. From material selection to final calibration, each step serves the singular goal: motion that calms.

01

Material Selection

We source the finest silica sand, grading each batch for uniform particle size. Only sand meeting our exacting standards proceeds to calibration.

Particle size tolerance: ±0.02mm
Purity rating: 99.7% minimum
Color consistency: Delta E < 1
02

Precision Engineering

Custom stepper motors, calibrated to micron-level accuracy, control the magnetic sphere beneath the sand. Each motor is hand-tested for 100 hours.

Step resolution: 0.0125mm
Motor lifespan: 50,000+ hours
Noise level: <25dB
03

Algorithm Design

Our proprietary algorithms generate patterns that evolve infinitely. Mathematical models ensure no two moments are identical, ever.

Pattern library: 200+ base forms
Variation seed: Entropy-based
Transition smoothness: Cubic Bézier
04

Assembly & Calibration

Each unit is hand-assembled and calibrated over 48 hours. Final quality checks verify motion accuracy, noise levels, and visual harmony.

Build time: 3 days per unit
Calibration cycles: 500+
Quality checks: 47 points

Materials

Built to Last Generations

Aerospace Aluminum

Aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum frames, anodized for durability and finished by hand.

Optical Glass

Anti-reflective tempered glass, UV-filtered to preserve sand color over decades.

Calibrated Silica

Precision-graded sand, treated for optimal flow characteristics and color stability.

Silent Motors

Custom-designed NEMA stepper motors with proprietary dampening technology.

"We don't build products. We engineer moments of calm that last a lifetime."
